Grand Prix

Grand Prix simulation traverses through the journey of a team manager who has to take key decisions in hiring the right personnel, take key engineering decisions, partner with sponsors and manage risks to take the team to victory in the upcoming grand prix season. The simulation takes users through an exciting journey of racing and tests their project and portfolio management mettle to get things done on time with the appropriate amount of resources.

Version v2.0

Released in January 2018

Grand Prix v2.0 presents an all-new look of the simulation. Existing design has been overhauled to provide the participant a better learner experience.

New Features

  • All the phases of the simulation are now well packaged with introduction and summary screens defining and summarizing the impacts of actions or decisions with meaningful insights
  • Addition of new screens such as activity tab, glossary, summary pop-ups for all phases, enabling the learner to track and understand his/her actions from time to time and taking the next step accordingly
  • Every race in the Execution phase gives an interesting summary post the completion of that race
  • Introducing ‘Tips’ – An interesting engagement and timely help for the learner
  • Grandprix now comes with a downloadable report encapsulating the learner's performance
  • An all-new dynamic walkthrough has been added to the simulation which explains all the elements of the screen at any given point of time
  • As part of gamification, a Learderboard has been added to the simulation taking the key metrics into account

Enhancements

  • Storytelling has been made better, establishing good connect with the learner right from the beginning. This includes a revamp of Introduction screens with animations and enhanced write-up, and upgraded dashboards throughout the game-play
  • We have simplified the game by removing some of the actions that led learner to confusion and upgraded some of the actions' characteristics to provide better learning impact
  • Sponsor screen has been re-designed fully making it more intuitive

Bug Fixes

  • The simulation interface has been made more responsive supporting a broader range of resolutions
  • All the major browser specific issues have been resolved extending the simulation support to Internet Explorer, Microsoft edge and Safari as well

Others

  • A tracking mechanism is in place capturing every user interaction in the simulation. This enables product to understand the pain-points if any, constantly, which in turn helps for the product improvement. For example, ‘Is the user trying to click on disabled buttons?’, ‘How frequently notifications have been viewed?’
  • The simulation is now integrated with Konsole and license management can be done through Konsole
